Swig & Swine

We were staying close by but didn't have time to dine in, so we got take out. It was amazing! The portion sizes for ours were insane. It was so much food. They have a ton of sauces that all added a unique flavor. Really like the jalapeño one. We got pulled pork, spicy chicken sandwich, beans and brisket, and corn pudding. I recommend each one of them. You really can't go wrong. Don't forget to get the Banana Pudding for dessert! It's perfect. Oh, and the staff was super kind and welcoming. We will definitely dine in next time we are in the area.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! We had it for the first time and raved about it. We went and tried another location a few days later. Service was great at both. Price point is wonderful for the amount and quality of the food. They also have unbelievable specials. We even bought food to take home. Highly recommend! This is a MUST if you like BBQ.

I am in the area for work for a few days and this place was recommend to me by a couple of people! Drink: Columbia Craft Brewing Compnay Modern Gothic Kölsch App: Pork Rinds with Pimento Cheese These things we're still crackling when they got to our table. They were so fresh and delicious! The pimento was great as well. Entree: I had the 3 meat tray. I ordered the smoked pork belly, brisket, and ribs. The sides were mac and cheese and hash and rice! Everything had great smokey flavor and was tender. My favorite was the smoked pork belly! The hash and rice was very interesting! They used their pulled pork, blended it up a bit, and used one of their sauces and put it over rice. I also got to try the smoked turkey and collards, thanks to Megan. Everything was really good, and our server was very informative. He gave us great recommendations. The atmosphere was fun, too.

Swig & Swine is a great spot to grab BBQ and smoked meats if you’re in Charleston and craving something hearty. We dropped by for a casual dinner, and the whole experience hit the mark—delicious food, welcoming service, and a cozy vibe that just makes you want to dig in. We ordered the beef brisket, wings, and a kids meal. The brisket was fantastic—tender and juicy with just the right amount of smoke, plus a nice crusty bark on the outside. The wings were a standout too: crispy, smoky, and packed with flavor. Whether you’re into saucy wings or prefer them dry-rubbed, they’ve got you covered. The kids meal also pleasantly surprised us. Good portion, nicely prepared, and just enough to keep the little one happy—which as a parent, I really appreciated! The service matched the food. Our server was friendly and attentive without hovering, and you could tell the team cared about making sure everyone was enjoying their meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious—nothing fancy, just a comfortable spot to unwind and enjoy quality BBQ. It’s the kind of place you can stumble into after a day of exploring the Historic District or come in on a whim for a laid‑back evening meal. If you’re in Charleston and need a good hit of smoked meats, Swig & Swine is definitely worth checking out. We left full and happy, and we’ll be back next time we’re in town.

We showed up at 8:30 on a Sunday night (closing at 9:00 pm). They welcomed us in graciously, even close to closing. Great friendly service with a smile. Great food. The ribs were flavorful and falling off the bone. Sausage and egg sandwich special-great. Corn pudding was sweet with a little kick, fantastic. We are from out of town, but wish we could come back time after time.

The food was beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing. This could have been a five star review if they did not charge extra for using card rather than cash. Its 2025 and anyone under 70 years old tends to pay with card. We have travelled by car on holiday from California to South Carolina and have been able to pay via contactless in the smallest of business with no additional fee. All this fee did was force me to tip less hurting your serving team. My advice is stop charging for card payments and upgrade your payment systems asap.
